And the band plays on. Good article. ‘The Masses’ won’t be allowed to view the elite few at the top in their mansions with their estates in pristine condition when the plan is in place. We’ll all be in high rises with a shared green space in the middle of the rings of high rises. It’ll all be sustainable. The elites will be able to sustain the masses that keep them in their mansions with their pristine estates. As long as we, the masses, keep to our station in life, we’ll be allowed to exist as long as we’re useful.

I enjoy your posts. Do you believe that there is any hope but a “a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”? I find most people so unwilling to read, learn or comprehend a truth. I have suspected the coming of just that, a national disaster, for a long time now.

There is no possibility of doing anything to stop the train.” A quote from Gary North and true, I think. Perhaps, after the wreck, our leaders will find the courage to get rid of the Federal Reserve and the income tax. Sanity has to reside somewhere in the world. Maybe.

It is a sad truth that this country is moving down a so called “European Path” where gov’t dependecy and debt is skyrocketing. We must move back to reliance on the INDIVIDUAL and a much smaller gov’t to change our downward spiral.

Love your post. What concerns me is Franklin’s quote regarding only virtuous people being capable of freedom. Our country is rapidly edging away from that status. That being said, I can only wonder how long our society can continue in the freedom we claim to prize.

Well said, Robert. In the end, people are either lovers of self or lovers of God. If we truly love God, we will help those in need anyway. This, too is a big part of the problem. It does not truly help people when we program them to sloth. By the same token, there are people in true need and the religion God finds pure is that of those who give to the needy. It’s hard to strike a balance and to mandate it through government is not the answer.
