We must learn
to distinguish God’s voice
from all the other voices
in the world.
For when
the shaking comes,
and it will come,
knowing His voice
and following Him
will be
the only way to safety.
The Bible
is God’s voice,
given to us in writing,
a verbalized
propositional expression
of His revelation
to humanity.
It is
our manual for living
on the planet earth.
It’s filled
with the greatest wisdom
ever revealed.
It teaches us
how humans and society
are supposed to work
and
how they really work
and
what it means to be human.
It shows us
our potential
and what causes
all our problems.
And still
as wonderful as the Bible is
it is meant to lead us to God,
not take His place.
We are called to worship,
the Lord of the Book
Not the Book of the Lord.
Only in Christ
can we learn,
what we are
and what
we are living for.

In “God’s Voice” S5 / E15 of I Took a Right Turn:W speak about how God speaks through others to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The we share a few of our favorite old song: Just a Little Talk With Jesus, Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus and Woke Up This Morning. Moving on we share one of our home-grown song: We Are One in Jesus. Looking at the Bible we open to I Corinthians 2:1-5 and we see how Paul felt about his preaching and what he spoke about. After this Robert reads the poem “God’s Voice” from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time. Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
