In “Come to Me” S5 / E76 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about the weather here in the Promised Land, Autumn is here. The leaves are changing colors and there is a cold snap in the air. Lawn mowing has been replaced by mulching the 780 billion tons of leaves that fall from our many trees. We have just returned from a trip out west and can report that the roads are full, the weather is everywhere, and the scenery is beautiful.
We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us through our website itookarighturn.com. Our email addresses are there on the contact page.
Our musical portion of the podcast begins with River of Life. We follow that with an old song that’s made up completely of lines from the Psalms set to music, Let God Arise. Then comes a song that has been the most requested song at the mission where we hold services for many years, Jesus on the Mainline. This is a song which if we can keep it in our heart will help us whenever we feel as if the battle is too hard or the road too steep. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that was inspired by a time when we were conducting a Revival at Northern Arizona University, I Was a Dreamer.
Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to Matthew 11:28-30. Here we learn about the difference between living in the world and following Christ.
We want to invite everyone to send us your miracle stories and prayer requests. Everyone who does will receive one of Robert’s books. Just go to itookarightturn.com and click on “Contact” and using our emails send us and email.
Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Our Refuge.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
All of Robert’s more than fifty books are available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible through Amazon. As we have mentioned, Robert has begun releasing studio versions of his many songs. His first release, “I Was a Dreamer” is now live on all streaming platforms. This link will lead you to Robert’s newest song on Spotify.

If we would pursue Jesus as hard as we pursue the things we think we want, we would have more than we will ever need.

In “Let’s Do What Christ Told Us” S5 / E75 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about the weather here in the Promised Land, we’re moving into the Autumn Season and the trees are starting to change colors. Next we talk about praying for everything and allowing God to guide into a deeper relationship with Him. We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with an old song that has blessed generations of believers and led multitudes to Christ, I Can’t Even walk Without You Holding My Hand. Next a song we picked up from services at Family Worship Center, the home church of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, On My Way to Heaven. Then comes a song that came to us from our time at East Valley Cathedral in Arizona, Turn Your eyes to Jesus. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that God gave us long years ago, Do What He Said.
Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to John 14:15-17 where we find Jesus has left us clear directions of what we should be doing.
