In “Freed From Sin” S5 / E21 of I Took a Right Turn: We share some thoughts about how things are going here in the Promised Land today. Next, they play some good songs: Listen to Me Devil, My Sins Are Gone at Last, and The Latter Rain. This is followed by one of our home-grown songs: Who Writes the Review. Our Bible study today starts with Romans 8:1-2. This is where Paul tells us about Jesus as the cleanser of our sin. Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Floating Through Time.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

Moments turn
into hours.
Hours turn
Into days.
Days turn
into weeks.
Weeks turn
into months.
Months turn into years.
Years turn into a life,
lived in the swirling stream of time.
During our thirties and forties
Life become a blur,
with work and family.
In our fifties
we start to slow down.
In our sixties,
we start to get,
comfortable with ourselves,
or not.
By the time
we reach our seventies,
we finally admit to ourselves,
the summer of our life is over,
autumn is flying by,
and winter
is just around the corner.
