Here Today Gone Today.

Like dust in the wind,

the shimmering shadow,

of sunlight on a summer day

spectacular for the briefest moment

then forgotten in the rush of life.

Our lives are long,

until they’re gone.

The years drag by

until they’ve rushed into the past.

We while away our days,

With hours to kill

And

Not a moment to spare.

Our lives are but

a snap of the fingers,

a whistle in the wind,

a flower in a seed,

only life in Christ

is life indeed.
