The moment
before we begin
a task,
a journey,
or a quest
is the scariest of all,
after that first step
the next ones come easier.
It takes courage to begin,
courage to continue,
and courage to succeed.
Courage is what it takes,
to start something
when there’s
no promise of success.
It’s only by risking it all,
and going too far
that we can discover
how far we can go.
We can only get to
where we’re going
by leaving,
