Our main task
in this life
is to live,
in responsive obedience
to God’s actions
revealed
in Jesus Christ.
Strive to be,
a “Jesus Only” Christian,
not a “Jesus and” Christian.
Because
when we try to add
to what He has said
or embellish,
what He has done
all we do is,
clutter things up
and dilute the truth.
We can’t improve on God.
It isn’t Jesus-and-angels,
Jesus-and-politics,
Jesus-and-Buddha,
Jesus-and anything else.
It’s just Jesus.
And that’s
the whole truth
and noting but the truth
so help me God.
Our faith in Christ
is the one thing,
we can do in this life,
that doesn’t
get in the way,
it gets us on the way.
