If we deny God,
He will deny us.
Freedom is,
a great responsibility.
It’s our vehicle,
to either choose
the truth
or
to embrace the lie.
When it comes
to the ultimate
decision in this life,
we have free choice,
and
no one can take,
that away from us.
We can either
choose God
or
choose the world.
And
God is so fair,
we get exactly,
what we choose.
God
drops no one into Hell,
we jump.

In “Dead to Sin” S5 / E18 of I Took a Right Turn: The weather report opens up to the usual banter about anything and everything. Moving on Rober and Rosalie share some songs: Amazing Love, Because He Lives, and I Surrender All. Next, they sing one of their home-grown songs: The Nashville Gospel. Turning to the Bible they look at Romans 6:6-11and find that God is calling us to choose Him and His ways over the ways of the world. After this Robert reads the poem “There Should Be a Change” from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time. Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

We’ll praise God,
in the middle of all things,
good or bad
if we believe God
works all things to the good
for those who believe.
Thank God
for everything, be always joyful,
and pray continually.
This is how,
God desires
for His children in Christ Jesus
to live.
The single qualification
to be eligible for God’s help
is to be in trouble.

In “Total Salvation” S5 / E17 of I Took a Right Turn: First comes the weather report and our usual back and forth leading up to sharing a few songs: I’ve Got the Joy Joy Joy, River of Life, and Joy is the Flag. And of course, another of our home-grown songs: Tears of Joy. Moving on to our Bible study we look at I Peter 1:3-9 where we see that since Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life in Him.
