In “God’s Voice” S5 / E15 of I Took a Right Turn:W speak about how God speaks through others to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The we share a few of our favorite old song: Just a Little Talk With Jesus, Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus and Woke Up This Morning. Moving on we share one of our home-grown song: We Are One in Jesus. Looking at the Bible we open to I Corinthians 2:1-5 and we see how Paul felt about his preaching and what he spoke about. After this Robert reads the poem “God’s Voice” from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time. Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

True salvation
is deliverance,
from our own self-will
and our worldly self-life
in exchange for God’s life.
Deliverance
from the power of evil
is not accomplished,
by merely,
“turning over a new leaf,”
or by
making a few
superficial changes
in how we live.
True deliverance
saves us from
the “I will”
that is the root of all sin.
Satan’s original
and most successful temptation
is that we can “be like God.”
Man’s greatest
and most destructive error
is the self-centered determination,
that we
are the lord of our life.
If Christ
is not Lord of all
He
is not Lord at all.

In “This is the Way God Works” S5 / E14 of I Took a Right Turn:Today we look at how God works in the world and in our lives. Moving on we share a few good songs that praise how God deals with us: Jesus Got a Holda My Life, My Sins Are Gone at Last, and There is None Like You. Next, we share a brand-new home-grown song: The Voice. Opening our Bibles we investigate I Corinthians 1:18-21 and we read about the way God decided to deal with the world.
