In “Want a Fresh Start?” S5 / E 9 of I Took a Right Turn : Rosalie and Robert begin the podcast speaking about the world situation and then talk about summer in the Promised Land and some prayer requests. Next, comes a few favorites: There’s Power in the Blood, It’s Different Now, and I Know it Was the Blood. Turning to the Bible we dive into II Corinthians 5:14-20 which tells us about the new life Christ’s life, death, and resurrection has purchased for every born-again believer. Then Robert reads the poem “Lies Are Never True,” from his second book of Poetry, Floating Through Time. Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

When thesis/antithesis
morphed into synthesis,
in modern thinking
the world changed,
as universalism became relativism.
Now everything is relative.
And since something
can mean anything,
everything means nothing.
When meaning
is separated from reason,
meaning loses all meaning.
And even if everyone
gets a vote,
the tyranny of 51% over 49%
is still a tyranny.
Reality isn’t up for a vote,
It is what it is.
Because God said,
“Let there be”
and it is,
what He said it is.

In “Sin Isn’t The Problem” S5 / E 8 of I Took a Right Turn: The Owens Team opens with their usual dialog which as always includes the weather report in the Promised Land and again includes some prayer requests. Next, comes a few favorites: Oh, How I Love Jesus, I Keep Falling in Love with Him, and one not-so-old song Living He Loved Me. This is followed by one of our homegrown songs: I Want to Love the Lord in You. Turning to the Bible we dive into I John 2:1-6 which investigates the Sin Problem, and we delve into how this is the real problem not just individual sins. Then Robert reads the poem “It Is What God Says It Is,” from his second book of Poetry, Floating Through Time. Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
