In “God Will Use Us” S5 / E53 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about the state of the secular world and how that relates to the state of the spiritual world, then we move on with our usual comments on the weather in the Promised Land as well as other happenings in the world. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with Put Your Hand in The Hand of the Man from Galilee, a song that speaks about trusting God even though the world around us doesn’t and we often fall short of the mark. Next a song that speaks of the wonderful feeling we have when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, Amazing Grace. Then comes a song which tells us what has happened to us since the fateful day of our deliverance, I’ve Been Redeemed. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs: A Perfect Sacrifice, our newest song.
Looking into God’s Holy Word, we explore at John 4:4-30 a portion of God’s Word that tells us we may not always understand what God is doing but if we’ll turn to Him, hold on, and believe He’ll bring us through and make it clear to us that though His ways may not be our ways His ways always work.
After this, we move on to our newest segment of the Podcast, “A Miracle Moment.”
Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “The Past is Past.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

Praise God
first thing in the morning,
seek Him all day,
and praise Him,
the last thing at night.
Like a prospector
seeking gold
or an adventurer
on a treasure hunt
let us diligently,
investigate God’s Word
searching for
His presence
and refusing
to take
no for an answer.
Jacob Wrestled with God
and he wouldn’t stop,
until God blessed him.
Let’s follow that example,
Pressing in
pressing in,
pressing in,
and refusing
to take anything less
then entrance into
the very throne room,
of our Father
Let’s make,
knowing God,
our number one priority.

In “Hold On For a Blessing” S5 / E52 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up with our usual comments on the weather in the Promised Land and how the changing seasons are a miracle to behold and sometimes a challenge to be dealt with. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with My Life is in You which tells us how to make it through anything, by knowing God is always there for us. Next a song that we learned many years ago along the old sawdust trail of tent revivals, God is God. Then comes a song that speaks about how our life in Christ should feel, I’m On My Way to Heaven. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that is almost an anthem for us, a bold expression of who we are in Christ: I Am.
Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn for a change to the Old Testament, we explore Genesis 32:24-29 at a portion of God’s Word where we learn about holding on until we receive our blessing.
