In “Our Father” S5 / E73 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up once again praising God for all things. Our weather report talks about the continuing rain which continues to slow down the harvest and flood the Promised Land. We continue to speak about our burden for the lost, pleading with anyone who will listen to accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We also talk about some of the challenges facing us physically and in the work of the ministry, asking for prayer and letting everyone know they can contact us through our website www.itookarightturn.com with prayer requests. And if anyone needs a Bible let us know and we’ll send one to you.
In the musical portion of the Podcast, we begin with an old Pentecostal tune, Send it on Down, a song which should be a rousing cheer for every believer every day. Next, another old standard that about the joy we have because of the light He’s given us, I’m Going on With My Jesus. Then a song that gives us hope for every day because of the changes Jesus makes in our lives, There is None Like You. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs: The Shortest Prayer I Know.
We want to invite everyone to send us your miracle stories. Everyone who does will receive one of Robert’s books. We’re very excited about this segment because we feel God has guided us into this expansion of the Podcast Ministry. Just go to itookarightturn.com and click on “Contact” and use the message system to submit. Everyone who does will receive one of Robert’s books free of charge and autographed, if they share their mailing address.
After this turn to God’s holy Word exploring Matthew 6:5-15 which is one of the many passages where Jesus taught us about prayer. He reminds us that prayer is supposed to be a deeply personal experience between the believer and God and not just some kind of formulaic performance.
Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Prayer.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
All of Robert’s more than forty books are available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible through Amazon. As we have mentioned, Robert has begun releasing studio versions of his many songs. His first release, “The Street Angel” is now live on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.

In “Turn to Jesus” S5 / E72 of I Took a Right Turn: After our usual comments on the weather in the Promised Land then we move on to speaking about our need to be steadfast in prayer. We should stand on His Word and as we branches stay united with the Vine ask in Jesus’ Name and receive. We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us through our website itookarighturn.com. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with a song that sometimes stays in my head for days afterwards, an old song that has blessed generations of believers, We Shall See the King. Next, we share another of our favorite songs a classic from Bill and Gloria Gaither, He Touched Me. Then comes an old song from the days of the camp meetings, Everywhere He Went. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that shouts a greeting and offers a prayer, Hello Jesus.
Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to John 17:2-4 and we see that we need to follow Jesus, that’s what He’s called us to do and to recognize Him as the divine Savior, the incarnation God.
