Beware of the Old Switcheroo August 25, 2026

In “Beware of the Old Switcheroo” S8 / E63 of I Took a Right Turn: Once we finish our usual comments on the weather in the  Promised Land then we move on to speaking about the freedom we have in the Lord and how we need to use that freedom to honor, serve, and glorify Him.  We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us.  Our musical portion of the podcast begins with a song that sometimes stays in my head for days afterwards, an old song that has blessed generations of believers, He Set Me Free.  Next, we share another of our favorite songs by Amy Grant the Queen of Christian Pop, I Have Decided.  Then comes a song from Ray Boltz, The Anchor Holds.  Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that speaks of how God is God and it is His reaching out to us that makes our reaching out to Him possible, Jesus The Lord. 

Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to Isaiah 5:20 and we see that our words matter and we speak about how the society around us is headed away from God and that we as believers need to go in the opposite direction.
