In “Our Father” S5 / E73 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up once again praising God for all things. Our weather report talks about the continuing rain which continues to slow down the harvest and flood the Promised Land. We continue to speak about our burden for the lost, pleading with anyone who will listen to accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We also talk about some of the challenges facing us physically and in the work of the ministry, asking for prayer and letting everyone know they can contact us through our website www.itookarightturn.com with prayer requests. And if anyone needs a Bible let us know and we’ll send one to you.
In the musical portion of the Podcast, we begin with an old Pentecostal tune, Send it on Down, a song which should be a rousing cheer for every believer every day. Next, another old standard that about the joy we have because of the light He’s given us, I’m Going on With My Jesus. Then a song that gives us hope for every day because of the changes Jesus makes in our lives, There is None Like You. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs: The Shortest Prayer I Know.

After this turn to God’s holy Word exploring Matthew 6:5-15 which is one of the many passages where Jesus taught us about prayer. He reminds us that prayer is supposed to be a deeply personal experience between the believer and God and not just some kind of formulaic performance.
Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Prayer.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.
