Dr. Robert Owens Chronicles the History of the Future

Let’s Do What Christ Told Us October 13, 2026

In “Let’s Do What Christ Told Us” S5 / E75 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about the weather here in the Promised Land, we’re moving into the Autumn Season and the trees are starting to change colors.  Next we talk about praying for everything and allowing God to guide into a deeper relationship with Him.  We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us.  Our musical portion of the podcast begins with an old song that has blessed generations of believers and led multitudes to Christ, I Can’t Even walk Without You Holding My Hand.  Next a song we picked up from services at Family Worship Center, the home church of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, On My Way to Heaven.  Then comes a song that came to us from our time at East Valley Cathedral in Arizona, Turn Your eyes to Jesus.  Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that God gave us long years ago, Do What He Said.

Looking into God’s Holy Word we turn to John 14:15-17 where we find Jesus has left us clear directions of what we should be doing.

We want to invite everyone to send us your miracle stories.  Everyone who does will receive one of Robert’s books.  We’re very excited about this new segment because we feel God has guided us into this expansion of the Podcast Ministry.  Just go to  itookarightturn.com and use the information there send us an email.

Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Let’s Not.”  Each episode this season includes a poem from this book.

The text of the readings from Robert’s book is posted the day after the release of each episode at www.itookarighturn.com All of Robert’s more than forty books are available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible through Amazon. As we have mentioned, Robert has begun releasing studio versions of his many songs.  His latest release, “I Was a Dreamer” is now live on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.
