In a political world trained to the wretched rhythm of the perpetually re-elected and their focus-grouped nuances never meant to clarify as much as cover their rear-guard the penetrating pronouncements of President Trump are like a breath of fresh air in a partially sealed coffin.
On the one hand we have a trimmer like Big Bill Clinton of New York’s Sixth Crime Family. When confronted about his perjury he had the chutzpah to look directly into the camera and say, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” The most definitive, declarative thing he ever said to us was, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
This is emblematic of what we have been conditioned to expect, the lowest common denominator of plausible deniability wrapped up in the quivering forthrightness of a lie labeled as the truth.
On the other hand we have The Donald. Standing in the belly of the beast, surrounded by the political hacks who have been hacking us up he had the courage to say, “For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.” Looking into the camera he did not hedge and equivocate like the ex-lawyer Bill Clinton. He did not try to lead us off on a fool’s errand to build democracy around the world in countries who don’t want it like George the Second. He did not wax on for hours using the word I more than anything else like the self-absorbed narcissist BHO.
No, Mr. Trump not only called a spade a spade he tossed the whole deck in the air for a political version of fifty-two pick-up when he continued, “Washington flourished — but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered — but the jobs left, and the factories closed.”
After years of hearing nothing but the cha-ching of politicians making fortunes as public servants. After decades of wondering what happened to the Reagan Revolution as Progressives from both sides of the twin headed bird of prey that makes up the Government Party finally we heard from the Country Party when our President Trump said, “The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.”
And now after the first week of an actual working president he also nailed the media’s hide to the wall. Not only were working people who believe in America First cheering we were giving him a standing O when he said, “I think the media is the opposition party in many ways.” How long have we thought that? They are no longer a watch dog. They became the Democrat’s attack dog long ago. For a perfect example of their biased presentation of the gatekeepers compare the recent so-called “Woman’s March” and the March for Life.
The Woman’s March got wall-to-wall coverage the week before it was scheduled no doubt ginning up attendance. This led to wall-to-wall coverage by an army of reporters and cameras while it was going on followed by a week of glowing reviews and video highlights. Now reflect on the March for Life. This massive event has filled the streets of Washington every year since the abomination of Roe v. Wade in a vacuum. There is the partisan bias of the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media in stark relief.
The Democrat Party is in disarray. Hillary may be contemplating a talk show to make hers the face of the opposition to America First. The Ego from Chicago may be planning on moving into his Washington mansion and popping out at propitious times to voice the collectivist reaction to America First. And we always have Pocahontas in the wings ready to do a war dance, a rain dance, or just shout old soviet slogans against America First. And of course the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party or as they are also known, the media will be right there to supply the sights and sounds and film at six against America First.
Luckily we have someone who is ready to stand up and voice the heart-felt cry of so many who believe in America First. Our President Trump seized the moment and captured the spirit of the age when surrounded by the thieves who came in the night to steal the American dream he said:
That all changes — starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.
It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America. This is your day. This is your celebration. And this, the United States of America, is your country.
What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.
Everyone is listening to you now.
At that moment and in many others since he has captured lightening in a bottle, said exactly what we have been waiting to hear, and hit it right out of the park.

Science Fact Swallows Science Fiction January 25, 2017

Not too long ago I began a science fiction novel, which has always been a dream of mine, and since I finally broke through the fiction wall last year with my book, America’s Trojan War I thought it was time. I even had a plot that had been rattling around in my mind for years.
I began working in what I call Writing Mode, which is where I go when consumed with the writing of a new book. Typically I will rise at about four in the morning and write for twelve hours, sleep and repeat until done. Building on the years of pre-writing and research that precedes the first chapter I often stay in continuous Writing Mode for weeks at a time.
This process has led to the completion of a dozen published books and several more that are currently working their way through the publication pipeline. In my mind’s eye I could see my long anticipated science fiction novel spring fully formed from my forehead much as Athena sprang from Jupiter’s in the Greek Myth. The anticipation of a successful creative birth drove me on.
Here is the plot that inspired me. A couple of scientists who were also husband and wife, he a world renowned geneticist and she a programming superstar, decide to translate the human genome into computer code. Once they have completed this herculean task they decide to hack the code. When they do they are immediately confronted with the entity that wrote the code and transported into an endless array of parallel realities. In these multiple realities it seems each was the invention of another and like a reflection of a reflection in a mirror these wheels within wheels stretched infinitely off into life begetting life.
Through struggles, temptations, and conflict the pair of scientific Argonauts chased the golden fleece of knowledge searching for the prime cause. For they knew that every sequence has its beginning, and there must always be not only a first domino to fall but also someone to knock it over.
Then in what was meant to be a stunning and thought provoking climax our intrepid duo finally break through to the final reality and find themselves using their hacked DNA code to birth a new reality. Thus the circle is unbroken and life begets life begets life begets life in an eternal cycle and the prime mover remains veiled while the unnatural source of nature reverberates through reality.
That was the plan.
Unfortunately the reality of science fact swallowed my science fiction. First the CRISPR-Cas9 comes along. This is a remarkable technology that enables geneticists and medical researchers to edit the genome by removing, adding, or altering sections of the DNA sequence. There goes the revolutionary idea of hacking the genome.
This was followed by a headline which provided the final nail in my science fictional coffin, “Lab-Made DNA Used to Breed a Life Form for the First Time.” This article continued to hammer away at my fictional ideas of creating life by introducing modified genetic codes into reality and thereby willing existence into reality. The author, Clyde Hughes, put it this way, “Lab-made DNA has been used to breed a life form for the first time by expanding the genetic code with the help of common E. coli microbes.”
Not satisfied with dashing my dreams of wowing people with outlandish concepts the article added, “Scientists at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California modified common E. coli microbes to carry expanded genetic material which they believe will eventually allow them to program how the organisms operate and behave.” As my imagination was corralled by reality the following posts were driven into the now to confine my musings of the future:
“Scripps Research scientist Floyd Romesberg said his colleagues have created a single-celled organism that can hold on indefinitely to the natural DNA mix in synthetic-base material.”
“You can think of these unnatural nucleobases as X and Y.”
“Romesberg said the challenge with X and Y … was that they would lose their code as they divided. Graduate student Yorke Zhang and Brian Lamb, an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow, used a tool called a nucleotide transporter to allow X and Y to be copied across the cell’s membrane.”
According to Zhang, “The transporter was used … , but it made the semisynthetic organism very sick.”
The author of the article interjected, “The researchers found a way to modify the transporter that alleviated the problem, making it easier for the organism to grow and divide while holding on to X and Y.”
And finally the author and the scientists ganged up on me and delivered the death blow to my science fiction fantasy about creating life when they delivered this, “The researchers said their next step is to study how their new genetic code can be transcribed into RNA, the molecule in cells needed to translate DNA into proteins.”
I figured why write a fictional novel about what is now reality. Therefore to compensate for this extreme case of Writus Interruptus and to live out the rituals and exigencies of my artistic Pon farr I waded into the depths of writing mode birthing two new books which will soon be available. These books are: Then Came Trump, wherein I share insights about where we have come from, where we are now, and where the Donald promised to lead us. And The More things Change the More They Stay the Same, which deals with the development of the secular political religion which is jingoistic patriotism using the three presidential assassinations of the 19th century as case studies.
Reflecting further on the startling announcement that humanity now has the power to create life I am reminded of an old story.
A scientist says to God, “You’re not so much I can create life right here in my laboratory.”
God answers, “Is that so?”
“Yes, it is and I challenge you to a contest. Let’s see who can create life faster and better, you or I” responded the scientist filled with pride over his great ability.
“All right,” said God “let’s give it a try.”
With that God stoops down and picks up some dust and starts molding it in his hands and the scientist grabs his test tubes and starts pouring liquids back and forth. God pauses and looks at the scientist and says, “Hey, get your own dust.”

Trump Makes America Great Again – Why Wait January 18, 2017

I know the snowflakes and their geriatric leaders are freaking out because they have lost the keys to the gravy train. However, out here where Americans work every day to pay the bills our President, The Donald isn’t waiting to take the oath to fulfill his oath to us.
Just like the interminable hostage crisis that Jimmy Malaise Carter couldn’t solve solved itself when the Gipper took the oath of office. As Ronaldus Magnus placed his hand on the bible and raised his hand the Ayatollahs deiced, “We don’t want to mess with him,” and sent them home. So too as BHO’s death grip on the throat of American enterprise weakens people begin to see the light at the end of the collectivist tunnel. Just the promise of fewer regulations, tax relief, and the Commissars returning to their faculty lounges is enough to inspire entrepreneurs to hope again. It is enough to ignite America’s Can-do class to once again plan and project growth instead of stagnation.
Just look at what has already been announced and imagine what will happen once the assault on American enterprise has finally ended.

Ford: 700 Jobs to Start
As January began, Ford Motor Company went public to tell Donald Trump that they are ready to deal with the new administration and also noted that at least 700 new jobs were on the table with more to come as the year rolls onward.
SAP SE: 400 Jobs
German business-software maker SAP SE is adding nearly 400 jobs to its Pittsburgh and suburban Philadelphia facilities, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Amazon.com: 100,000 Jobs
Amazon is eyeing a huge expansion starting this year and recently announced it intended to add up to 100,000 workers to its retail staff in new facilities across the nation.
Many of these jobs will be in brand new fulfillment centers the online giant plans to begin building this year.
Lockheed Martin: 1,800 Jobs
Aeronautics leader Lockheed Martin told President-elect Trump that it intends to hire over 1,800 new workers in the coming months.
Indeed, Lockheed feels that its expansion will bring even more jobs indirectly. CEO Marillyn Hewson said of the new jobs, “when you think about the supply chain across 45 states in the U.S., it’s going to be thousands and thousands of jobs.”
GM: 1,500 Jobs and $1 Billion Investment
General Motors said this month that it is looking to re-invest in factories in the U.S.A. and will add some 1,500 or more jobs to its roster of workers. The plans will include a one-billion-dollar plan to build new manufacturing lines in the U.S.
Bayer AG: $8 Billion Investment
The Trump transition team is touting a commitment by German-based Bayer AG pharmaceutical company to invest an additional $8 billion in the U.S.A. in research and development in cooperation with Monsanto AG.
The announcement came on the heels of a “very productive meeting” between the Trump team and Bayer CEO Werner Baumann and Monsanto chief Hugh Grant.
Walmart: 10,000 Retail Jobs, 24,000 Construction Jobs
Retail giant Walmart is eyeing an expansion plan to build new stores that will eventually amount to some 10,000 new jobs in outlets across the country. But it will also mean up to 24,000 jobs for construction workers needed to build the new stores.
Walmart intends to build at least 59 new stores in fiscal year 2017, according to a statement by the company.
LKQ: 150 Jobs and New HQ in Tennessee
Publicly traded automotive company LKQ Corp is establishing a new headquarters in the Nashville, Tennessee, area. It is a sign that the company feels that the automotive industry in the U.S. is on track to grow in the age of Trump.
Add to that other announced industry expansions: Carrier 1,100; US Steel 10,000; IBM 25,000; Soft Bank 50,000; Dow Chemical 1,000; Tesla 1900; Sprint 5,000; One Web 3,000; Black & Decker 100; Chrysler 2,000; Toyota 5,000; and Apple 2,000 and it becomes apparent how much change some real hope can inspire.
During the tenure of our Regulator-in-Chief it is estimated that 107,000 jobs were created or saved per year. Since the unexpected victory of Himself and even before the official beginning of the Trump Revolution by my estimation he has added 220,650. Not bad for a prequel. Just imagine the growth we will see in the coming years.
Remember the Democrat controlled Creature from Jekyll Island will do its best to slow or sink the economy. The rent-mob Progressive grass-roots simulation will do its best to agitate. The nomenclature in Congress and the bureaucracy will do its best to malign, de-legitimize and possibly impeach The Donald. However, I believe that they will not be able to get the lightening back in the bottle. I believe that unlike the Reagan Revolution this re-birth of the American Spirit will not be betrayed and sold out by a thousand points of light and led into decades of darkness.
Keep the faith. Keep the peace. We shall overcome.

Fake News is Old News in the Drive-By Media January 12, 2017

You want some fake news? I’ve got some fake news for you right here.
The GOP has no plan to replace Obamacare. That is the headline the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media try to scare the low information voters with. Nothing could be further from the truth.
As reported by Matt Vespa in Red State: The GOP not only proposed alternatives to the monstrosity of Obamacare at the time they had been advancing proposals before BHO was even elected. We can start with the five comprehensive health reform proposals that have actually been introduced in Congress:
- Ten Steps to Transform Health Care in America Act (S. 1783) introduced by Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) July 12, 2007.
- Every American Insured Health Act introduced by Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Bob Corker (R-TN) with co-sponsors Tom Coburn (R-OK), Mel Martinez (formerly R-FL) and Elizabeth Dole (formerly R-NC) on July 26, 2007.
- Senators Bob Bennett (R-UT) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) introduced the Healthy Americans Act on January 18, 2007 and re-introduced the same bill on February 5, 2009.
- Patients’ Choice Act of 2009 introduced by Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Richard Burr (R-NC) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA) on May 20, 2009.
- R. 2300, Empowering Patients First Act introduced July 30, 2009 by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA).
In addition, the GOP has developed a rich menu of potential replacement plans for Obamacare that are not of the centrally planned socialist sort but instead conservative market-oriented health policy:
- Individual Pay or Play proposed in 2005 by John Goodman; this is a minimalist version of a broader reform envisaged by Goodman built on converting the tax exclusion into universal tax credits.
- Health Status Insurance originally proposed by John Cochrane in 1995.
- Universal Health Savings Accounts proposed by John Goodman and Peter Ferrara in 2012. This combines fixed tax credits with individual pay or play and health status insurance concepts along with Roth-style Health Savings Accounts.
- Fixed tax credits. A variety of proposals have centered on using fix tax credits to replace the current inefficient and unfair tax exclusion for employer-provided health benefits. Two good explanations of how that would work are here:
- James C. Capretta and Robert E. Moffit, “How to Replace Obamacare,” National Affairs, no. 11 (Spring 2012).
- James C. Capretta. Constructing an Alternative to Obamacare: Key Details for a Practical Replacement Program. American Enterprise Institute, December 2012.
- Income-Related Tax Credits proposed by Mark Pauly and John Hoff in Responsible Tax Credits (2002) and endorsed by the American Medical Association. More recently, 8 scholars from Harvard, University of Chicago, and USC–Jay Bhattacharya, Amitabh Chandra, Michael Chernew, Dana Goldman, Anupam Jena, Darius Lakdawalla,Anup Malani and Tomas Philipson—released Best of Both Worlds: Uniting Universal Coverage and Personal Choice in Health Care (2013) which also is built around a model of individual health insurance subsidized with income-related tax credits.
- Flexible Benefits Tax Credit For Health Insurance by Lynn Etheredge in 2001.
- Near-Universal Health Insurance Exchanges proposed in 2001 by Sara Singer, Alan Garber and Alain Enthoven (covers only non-elderly).
- Universal Health Insurance Exchanges proposed in 2013 by former CBO director Douglas Holtz-Eakin and Avik Roy (covers Medicare and Medicaid in addition to privately insured).
Then there is the plan Bush the Younger actually proposed in 2007 which was shot down by the Democrat majority.
It was a sweeping health reform plan that would have replaced the current tax exclusion for employer-provided coverage with standard tax deductions for all individuals and families. The Bush plan called for a tax deduction that would have applied to payroll taxes as well as income taxes. Moreover, if one were worried about non-filers, the subsidy could easily have instead been structured as a refundable tax credit in which case even those without any income taxes would have gotten an additional amount. This is the kind of policy detail that easily could have been negotiated had the Democrats been in a cooperative mood in 2007. They were not.
What’s sad is that the Bush plan actually was superior to Obamacare when it comes to providing universal coverage. Remember, Obamacare actually does not provide universal coverage. The latest figures from CBO says that when it is fully implemented in 2016, Obamacare will cut the number of uninsured by only 45%, covering 89% of the non-elderly. Even if illegal immigrants are excluded, this percentage rises to only 92%. In contrast, the Bush plan (without a mandate!) would have cut the number of uninsured by 65%.
And looking back even though that font of fake news “If you like your doctor,” Obama says that he tried to get the Republicans to contribute to the creation of Obamacare however the record is very different. He didn’t consult with them at all. Instead he rammed it through using legislative tricks and deceit. It was an unconstitutional law to begin with, and it hasn’t improved with age. Even today Democrat leaders continue to perpetrate the fake news that Obamacare was a bipartisan effort.
So how does the soon to be extinguished and soon to be reversed and repudiated Obama regime react to the flurry of fake news in their allies the Drive-by Media? Why of course they seek to censor everyone else by passing the “Countering Disinformation And Propaganda Act” which of course is designed to stop anything that contradicts the establishment’s fake news, disinformation, and propaganda. How fake can you get?
And if his parting shots are not enough there is the promise from the Regulator-in-Chief that he isn’t going anywhere. He campaigned on Hope and Change and all we can do now is hope for change. Four years of anti-American foreign and domestic debacles that will prayerfully end as We the People make America great again.

The Lamest Duck of All January 5, 2017

Long ago and far away, back in an America before Hope and Change changed our hope to dread, we used to have peaceful and dignified transfers of power when one party replaced the other in the Oval Office. When Bill Clinton and Ross Perot defeated George the First he left Bubba the following note:
Dear Bill,
When I walked into this office just now I felt the same sense of wonder and respect that I felt four years ago. I know you will feel that, too.
I wish you great happiness here. I never felt the loneliness some Presidents have described.
There will be very tough times, made even more difficult by criticism you may not think is fair. I’m not a very good one to give advice; but just don’t let the critics discourage you or push you off course.
You will be our President when you read this note. I wish you well. I wish your family well.
Your success is now our country’s success. I am rooting for you.

That was a class act and a hard one to follow especially for people who allow partisanship and acrimony to eclipse good taste and good manners.
Even the Clinton loving New York Times reported that the transition from the Clinton Inter-lewd to George the Second was anything but dignified. It was instead sophomoric. According to the Times:
The General Accounting Office, an investigative arm of Congress, said today that “damage, theft, vandalism and pranks did occur in the White House complex” in the presidential transition from Bill Clinton to George W. Bush. The agency put the cost at $13,000 to $14,000, including $4,850 to replace computer keyboards, many with damaged or missing W keys.
Some of the damage, it said, was clearly intentional. Glue was smeared on desk drawers. Messages disparaging President Bush were left on signs and in telephone voice mail. A few of the messages used profane or obscene language.
“A Secret Service report documented the theft of a presidential seal that was 12 inches in diameter from the Eisenhower Executive Office Building,’’ next to the White House, on Jan. 19, 2001, the accounting office said.
Six White House employees told investigators that they had seen graffiti derogatory to Mr. Bush on the wall of a stall in a men’s room. Other White House employees saw a sticker in a filing cabinet that said, “Jail to the thief,” implying that Mr. Bush had stolen the 2000 election.
Following in the tradition of the now discredited and finally discarded Clintons the classless exit is being delivered not by nameless faceless staffers but instead by POTUS himself on the world stage. Unfortunately the last days of our first anti-colonialist president and his anti-American regime is marked by the only bi-partisan approach of his divisive reign. RINOs in Congress are helping him in his efforts to torpedo the incoming Trump Revolution from accomplishing the work we have sent them to the swamp-on-the-Potomac to accomplish.
From the president who sent his own campaign team to Israel to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu in his election we get hyperbolic outrage at accusations of Russian hacking and leaks during the 2016 presidential campaign. He says he knew about the hacks months ago. Yet he didn’t think they were worth mentioning until his hand-picked successor and his policies were rejected at the ballot box.
Now he fires a salvo of impotent sanction at the Russians. Putin laughs them off as the ineffective flailing of a lame duck.
Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona told MSNBC, President-elect Donald Trump was the real target of the sanctions, which booted 35 Russian intelligence operatives out of the U.S. and shut down Russian intelligence complexes in New York and Maryland.
“This administration somehow has the notion that this would change the election. They’re really trying to delegitimize the election itself. That’s the main motivation here,” said Franks, a member of the House Committee on Armed Services.
“And I think it’s just unfortunate that this president forgets that most of these e-mails came from WikiLeaks, who claimed they got them from disgruntled DNC staffers.”
In addition to being misdirected they were ineffective and merely showed the impotence and ineffectiveness of the Obama Administration. According to former UN Ambassador John Bolton Putin showed utter contempt for Obama in his measured response to his President Obama’s better never than late response to the accusations of Russian hacking.
Kellyanne Conway, who will serve as Trump’s counselor to the president, told CNN Thursday, “I will tell you that even those who are sympathetic to President Obama on most issues are saying that part of the reason he did this today was to quote ‘box in’ President-elect Trump.”
Personally I would like to echo an astute observation by Fred Fleitz, a former CIA analyst “The perception that an outgoing U.S. president is trying to box in and sabotage the foreign policy of his successor hurts the global reputation of America’s democratic system.”
We also have BHO’s stunning reversal of American policy allowing the condemnation of Israel to go forward. After protecting Israel with our veto power since 1949 in the waning days of his soon to be repudiated and reversed Progressive regime BHO ordered his team at the UN to abstain from a key vote. Thus the anti-Jewish UN was finally able to condemn Israel and add fuel to the flames of hatred. Not only did the Obama administration refuse to block the move they are accused by Israel of helping to write the resolution and for pushing others to vote for it.
The blizzard of economically strangling regulations continued to pour out of the Obama White House even as it slowly sinks beneath the political horizon. President Obama poured on thousands more new regulations in 2016 at a rate of 18 for every new law passed, according to an analysis of his team’s expansion of federal authority. While Congress passed just 211 laws, Obama’s team issued an accompanying 3,852 new federal regulations, some costing billions of dollars.
The 2016 total was the highest annual number of regulations under Obama. The proof that it was an overwhelming year for rules and regulations is in the Federal Register, which ended the year Friday by printing a record-setting 97,110 pages, according to the analysis from the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
We only have one president at a time. We all get that. And until January 20th 2017 that is still BHO. Unless he does an abrupt U-turn, ends his attempts to undermine his successor, thwart the will of the people, and show a little class to his everlasting shame he may well be remembered as the lamest duck of all.

What the Democrat cry-baby sore losers and their snowflake generation supporters are calling for is nothing less than a coup. They are attempting to intimidate Electors into breaking faith with the citizens of their States. In many cases they are attempting to con these Electors into breaking the laws of their States. All of these machinations in a desperate attempt to steal the election fairly won by Donald Trump and hand it to someone else in a December Revolution. Failing to install either their own failed candidate or someone who will play ball with them they seek to through the election into the House to delegitimize The Donald.
They just can’t believe that the voters in enough States to win the electoral vote were so stubborn, so heard-headed, so intent on salvaging their country they successfully resisted the Progressive’s wall-to-wall propaganda driven attempt to pound the last nail in our own coffin. Progressives can never admit they lost because people rejected their ideas or programs. No, it’s always because of the vast right-wing conspiracy, the trickery of the Republicans, the stupidity of the voters. Or this year’s newly minted excuse, the Russians. It can never be because people see through their shop-worn rehash of Soviet era collectivism.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I voted for Trump and no Russian told me to do it.
When President Clinton won twice, with overwhelming media support, because Ross Perrot split the vote that was fair. When President Obama won, with overwhelming media support, with “Hope and Change” that was fair. When he won, with overwhelming media support, because “If you liked your plan you could keep your plan” that was fair. However when Trump wins against the odds, attacked by every side that is beyond the pale.
And forget about that, “She won the popular vote” smokescreen. If you study motor voter on the Left Coast alone you will see that more than enough illegal immigrants were granted voting rights to turn that around.
They are now blaming the Electoral System. If you read the Constitution there is no mention of the people voting for the president at all. All that is mentioned is the legislatures of the several States choosing Electors who then choose the president. In the election of 1824 there were States where the people never did vote, just the State legislatures and their chosen Electors.
The Electoral College wasn’t designed to make sure not that unqualified people didn’t become president as the media tells us today. It was designed to make sure presidents were elected by a majority of the States and not just by the most populous ones.
Electoral majorities do not appear spontaneously like clouds before a shower. They are constructed by national political parties that build them with an eye to the Electoral College’s enforced need for a diverse coalition of States. Therefore, the Electoral College system demands that the winning majority are not geographically confined to a few populous States but are instead reflections of a nation-wide decision as opposed to a mere majority of the Citizens of New York, California, Texas and Florida.
This election is no singularity. Of the forty-eight elections since 1824 eighteen resulted in presidents who won less than 50% of the vote. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln, received 39.9 percent. In 1912, Woodrow Wilson won just 41.8 percent of the popular vote. In 1992, Bill Clinton won 43 percent of the popular vote. This has happened before and it will likely happen again.
What may never happen again is this mass movement of patriotic Americans who have risen up and demanded that the Progressives quit engineering and managing our decline. We demanded that the silent majority be heard instead of being drowned out by the Progressives and the aggressive ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC propaganda machine. We demanded that someone lead us out of the wilderness and back to the mountain top. We have demanded an America first administration dedicated to making America great again.
This is no fluke. This is no mistake. This is a new beginning. This is the true December Revolution. It is scheduled to happen today. Let the bells ring and the choirs sing. This is the culmination of the Tea Party revolt of 2010 and the repudiation of the Progressives and their collectivist ways. This is the dawn of a rebirth for limited government, personal freedom and economic opportunity. Mark this day down in your calendars and your minds. This is a day you will want to tell your grandchildren about. This is a day when the people triumphed over the political elites and marched with their pitchforks and torches to drain the swamp.
Today Donald Trump will be officially elected president of the United States! This is the day the Lord has made!

I think one of the hardest things about growing old is that you can remember what a pound of hamburger cost fifty years ago ($.45), so when the government assures us over and over there is no inflation we sort of get a disconnect going that seeps into many different areas of our lives.
Wise men say that History repeats itself. Those who have studied the facts and lived long enough to get a seasoned perspective understand that if it doesn’t repeat itself it sure does rhyme. Which leads me to an observation made by every generation since time began; every generation believes that the one following it is made up of a bunch of molly-coddled softies who will obviously allow the world to go to hell in a handbasket.
As a still surviving though somewhat battered member of the boomer generation I am beginning to think that when the Greatest Generation thought this about us they may have been right. By every metric imaginable except of course technological toys and wonders we have presided over the decline of America.
Our parents conquered the world and then defended their conquest against that destroyer of hope the USSR for fifty years until that great gulag of nations collapsed under its own weight. Then in 1992 we repudiated those who had won the war and secured the peace. Following a colossal betrayal, “Read my lips,” our generation took the reins and proceeded to run the whole thing into the ditch.
First we have the Clinton inter-lewd with its fake prosperity courtesy of the peace dividend, the dot com bubble, and the Contract with America Congress. Then we have George II and endless wars for peace combined with a guns and butter economy at home where couples making a combined income of 40,000 could buy $400,000 houses. This was followed by BHO and his anti-colonialist disdain for all that had made America great combined with a micromanaged centrally-planned economy guaranteed to sweep us into the dystopian trash heap of History.
Then faced with Mrs. “The Last Nail in Our Coffin” Clinton and Mr. “Take a Chance on Me” Trump we chose Mr. Chance who may well end up being the last Boomer president. All of us who chose the chance are now waiting with baited breath praying he will do what he said he would do. If he does, this last Boomer president may well bring back the glory of our parents and we will hand this off to the X Generation and give them a shot at preserving it for those who come after them.
Back to my theory that each generation sees the one following them as the ruin of all that is holy and why that is in reality a truism as old as time.
The Greatest Generation was once known as the Silent Generation until we re-christened them because of their stolid plodding through FDR’s Great Depression and their solid performance in WWII. They looked askance at the music and the counter-culture of the Boomers. Those few who actually were Hippies did ride a sociological tsunami that did in fact change our culture. The draft dodging flag burning micro minority rose to the top of the political world with the Watergate Congress and hang on to power to this day. The rest of us went to work. Eventually most of us followed the predictable trajectory. The liberal firebrands of youth become the worker drones of middle age and eventually the conservative mossbacks of old age.
Remember the Generation Gap? Today it feels more like a Generation Gulf, or close encounters of the third kind.
Generation X seemed to come out of the womb with an eye for style, a penchant for name brands, and an ability to work for what they wanted. They are mostly moving through the worker drone phase right now. Their younger brothers and sisters of Generation Y or the Millennials are now shedding their youthful fire and entering into middle age. Now come the Centennials or as some of us call them the Snowflake Generation and we see the fruit of our loins terrified of micro-aggressions, seeking safe places, and protesting elections when they didn’t even bother to vote. Oh what is the world to do?
Take a beat, take a breath, and step back. Yes, when we see our grandchildren crying because they think someone might have looked at them crossways we wonder about the fate of the Republic. Instead of bemoaning our coming fall once these limp-wristed get a trophy for showing up crybabies take over remember they have several stages of growth coming before they get there. There’s nothing like raising kids and working twelve hour days to support them to put a little steel in your spine. Give them time. Their rebellious attitudes and oh so delicate sensibilities will crash upon the reef of 3 AM feedings, paying the bills, buying the house, and worrying whether Social Security will be there when they need it.
The young always act as if youth was some clever thing they invented not knowing that we all were once young, and if we survive we grow old and things generally seem to carry on from there.
The only lesson we learn from History is that we don’t learn the lessons of History. As far back as records go every generation has thought the next was going to be a disaster forgetting that they are the ones who raised that next generation and having a little faith in how their example and time would mellow youth into old age.
Remember everything is relative. The next time you find yourself telling some young whippersnapper how you walked to school uphill in both directions in a blizzard without a coat think of the story of two old men. One says, “Why back when I was boy all I had to play with was a stick.” The other old man his eyes blazing with jealousy at the frivolous prosperity of others exclaims, “You had a stick!”

Is It Time For a Constitutional Convention? December 10, 2016

Once the province of so-called fringe political wonks this is an idea that has become mainstream. Some fear that if we convene such a convention all our freedoms will be on the block. They forget that as our founders stated, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Our freedoms and the right to those freedoms come from our Creator, not from government.
Such a convention is provided for in Article Five of the Constitution.
Besides, I believe we can trust the innate dedication of the American people to this the greatest experiment in human freedom in History.
So what makes me feel this idea has percolated up from the nether regions of political activists and philosophers to the realm of political reality?
Governor Greg Abbott of Texas in January of this year called for a constitutional convention of states to propose amendments which would change the balance of power in Washington, return some semblance of sovereignty to the States and empower the people.
Governor Abbott’s nine proposed amendments include:
Prohibit Congress from regulating activity that occurs in one state
Require Congress to balance its budget.
Prohibit administrative agencies from creating law
Prohibit administrative agencies from pre-empting state law
Allow a two-thirds majority of the states of override a Supreme Court decision
Require a seven-justice super-majority vote for Supreme Court decisions that invalidate a democratically enacted law
Restore balance of power between the federal and state governments by limiting the former to the powers expressly delegated to it in the Constitution
Give state officials the power to sue in federal court when federal officials overstep their bounds
Allow a two-thirds majority of the states to override a federal law regulation.
Personally I endorse all of these proposals with one exception. I would substitute an amendment to limit spending to a percentage of GDP instead of a balanced budget amendment. A balanced budget amendment would not do anything about spending it would merely require the Washington cartel to raise taxes and confiscate enough to cover their spendaholic nature.
One thing is for sure we need to return the federal nature to our federal republic. This nature was upended when President Lincoln substituted the preservation of union over the preservation of constitutional order. It was further by the Progressive Seventeenth Amendment which changed the composition of the Senate. Originally the Senators were chosen by the legislatures of the States. The House was designed to represent the people and the Senate was designed to represent the States. After the Seventeenth Amendment the States have been forced to hire lobbyists from K-Street to represent them in Rome on the Potomac.
Then the final nail in the federal coffin was nailed during FDR’s presidency for life in 1942. In a landmark court case, Wickard v. Filburn brought by an Ohio farmer, Roscoe Filburn, who was growing wheat for use to feed animals on his own farm. The government under the price supports and crop limitations of the Agricultural Adjustment Act ruled this was interstate commerce and therefore under federal regulations. The Farmer who was growing on his on land for use on his own land disagreed and sued.
When the case made it to the Supreme Court, which had turned into a rubber-stamp for FDR and his disastrous New deal it ruled “The intended disposition of the crop here involved has not been expressly stated, ” and later “Whether the subject of the regulation in question was ‘production’, ‘consumption’, or ‘marketing’ is, therefore, not material for purposes of deciding the question of federal power before us … [b]ut even if appellee’s activity be local and though it may not be regarded as commerce, it may still, whatever its nature, be reached by Congress if it exerts a substantial economic effect on interstate commerce and this irrespective of whether such effect is what might at some earlier time have been defined as ‘direct’ or ‘indirect’”
This type of doublethink has eroded our Republic from a constitutionally limited representative republic which operates on democratic principles and that is dedicated to ensuring limited government, personal freedom, and economic opportunity into a centrally-planned dystopia heading for the trash bin of History. The American people have just struck a blow for freedom. We have defeated the establishment and elected a man who has said he will work for us and make America great again. Now is the time to move forward and complete the revolution by re-imposing limits upon the leviathan.
So far 34 States have voted for the Article Five Convention, 38 are needed. Check and see if your State has voted and if it hasn’t petition your State representative and senator to do so. Let’s move forward to a restoration of freedom, liberty, and the American way.

Looking to the hypocrites who are perpetrating this scam we have our Secretary of State who never saw a Global Warming photo op he didn’t like. On one Trip to the Antarctic, Kerry produced as much CO2 as an average American does in one year.
The whole Global Warming scam is nothing more than a power grab. The collectivists lost their homeland when that great gulag of nations the USSR imploded in 1991. Since then they have been trying to use the mythical man-made global warming campaign as a back door to world-wide power.
Feeling that they have enough cover to state openly what is really going on the U.N.’s climate chief Christina Figueres candidly admitted that the organizers’ ultimate goal was “to change the [capitalist] economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
Another U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) official, Ottmar Edenhofer confirmed the travesty of global warming treaties, “ . . . one has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth . . . ”
As reported on the Deplorable Climate Science Blog site; NOAA claimed record heat in numerous locations is September in Africa and the Middle East. This is a remarkable feat, given that they don’t have any actual thermometers in those regions. In fact, NOAA doesn’t have any thermometers on about half of the land surface. Satellite temperatures showed that September was close to normal in those regions which NOAA declared to be record hot. Not only is the land data fake, but much of the ocean data is fake too. The global surface temperature record is garbage. This is the 21st century, and it needs to be replaced by satellite temperatures which show little or no warming this century.
The climate bullies are afraid that Donald Trump is going to do what he said he was going to do, free America from the wealth draining insanity of man-made global warming reparations. Consequently at the recent giant carbon footprint that marks their latest confab in Marrakesh Morocco. In a statement, the ministers at the meeting said momentum for cutting greenhouse gases was “irreversible” and reaffirmed their commitment to “full implementation” of the Paris accord.
They went on to say, “We call for the highest political commitment to combat climate change, as a matter of urgent priority,” in the Marrakesh Action Proclamation. And, “Our climate is warming at an alarming and unprecedented rate and we have an urgent duty to respond.” After which the elite delegates applauded, joined hands above their heads in standing ovation after the proclamation was read out having one of their international kumbaya moments that always end up costing the American tax payer a fortune. This one is estimated at 100 billion, that’s, billion with a ‘b’ from both public and private sources, by 2020 to help developing countries. Sounds like income redistribution to me and I wonder if any of these climate collectivists will be riding to the airport in a wind powered limo or flying home in a solar powered jet?
President Obama and the American Progressives have been willing conspirators in this attack on American sovereignty. They have negotiated treaties and signed accords which are designed to impoverish the US and transfer that wealth to the UN.
Up until now the collectivists have had an easy path using this alternative approach to enslaving mankind. They have brainwashed generations to live in fear of man-made global warming though none has taken place since before most of them were born. They have had the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media and their cable network step sisters blaring out their propaganda for decades. They have made major movies about the day after and other apocalyptic scenarios. They have recorded hit songs, staged protest rallies, and in general done everything they can to scare people into putting the noose around the neck of Western Civilization.
Now we are living in the post-wave election world of 2016. President-elect Trump has promised to reverse the course. He has labeled man-made global warming for the scam it is and promised to free America from the mass of threads with which the Lilliputians have ensnared us.
Trump has pledged to follow the GOP platform committee’s call for “ . . . an immediate halt to U.S. funding for the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in accordance with the 1994 Foreign Relations Authorization Act.”
What about that disaster waiting to be implemented: the Paris Climate Agreement? Since in his hubris President Obama never bothered to even try to have it ratified by the Senate as required by the Constitution, the newly invigorated Republican-controlled House and Senate can pass a law stating that it is null and void. And if that is too bold for the Ryan-led House or the McConnell-led Senate a President Trump, according to the agreement itself, can pull out of it by issuing a one-year notice.
Trump has said he will have no part in funding a $100 billion annual U.N. pledge by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “to help poor countries adapt to global warming.” During the campaign the Republican presidential nominee told supporters at a Florida campaign, “We will also cancel billions in global warming payments to the United Nations, and use that money to support America’s vital environmental infrastructure and natural resources.”
In his economic speech at the New York Economic Club he summed it all up, “We’re going to keep our money here and our jobs here and bring our jobs back.”
One way to judge the reality of the man-made global warming scam has been pointed out by Rush Limbaugh for many years. If we decided we wanted to raise the temperature of the globe by one degree by 2020 what would we do? What program could we follow or what steps would be implemented to make this happen? Obviously all can see that this would be impossible. If we cannot raise the world’s temperature deliberately what a ridiculous thought that we could do it just by living in a modern word using electricity and driving cars.
Another way of looking at the man-made global warming issue is to remember that our records only go back a few hundred years at most. The Earth is billions of years old. In the past there have been multiple ice ages and even a snowball Earth when the entire planet was frozen from pole to pole. Each of these multi-million year freeze events have been followed by warm periods. Where were the SUVs and smokestacks responsible for all that warming? For that matter how do we explain the cooling?
I may be way out in right field here, but I believe that gigantic nuclear fusion explosion we revolve around that rises and sets every day of our lives might have more to do with global warming or cooling than anything anyone or all of us could ever do.
Let’s get over ourselves and admit there is only One who can hold the world in His hand. There is only One who was there when the heavens were made and the limit was set for the sea. There is only One who knows the end from the beginning. And there is only One who controls the thermostat for this planet and it isn’t us.
