There’s Power in the Blood September 4, 2019

Long before I was born-again into the reality of my life in Christ someone once told me they could never become a Christian because it was a butcher’s block religion based on a human sacrifice and drenched in blood.  At the time I was in the seeker phase on my way to becoming an atheist and this sounded about right.  I knew from my parental enforced childhood study of Christianity at a Sunday school and catechism class they used for weekend childcare that Christians referred to Christ’s death on the cross as a sacrifice: they believed they were drinking His blood during communion, and they sang songs like, “There’s Power in the Blood.”

Now that I live each day seeking to be used of God in and through Jesus Christ, I’ve come to realize there’s some basic truth to this butcher’s block talk minus the negative spin.  Blood is an important part of Christianity.  And there is power in the blood of Jesus.

When He was instructing Moses in the revelation of the Jewish shadow of things to come God put it this way, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”  In the New Testament the writer of Hebrews explains it this way, “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

When Adam chose to follow his wife into disobedience instead of rebuking the Devil and throwing him out of the Garden God’s warning to them concerning the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, “You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die” came to pass.  True, Adam lived another 930 years physically but he died spiritually the moment he disobeyed God.  Then everyone descended from Adam was born after his likeness with a spirit alienated from God and in bondage to the Devil.

God could have waved His hand and made everything as it was but that would not be just and God is a just God.  He created Adam as the overseer of His creation and only subject to Himself.  Man chose to listen to the Devil and follow him instead.  In other words, God gave the title-deed to creation to man and man gave it to the Devil.

Just imagine if I bought a new car and gave it to you.  It is now your car.  I bought it for you.  I wanted you to have it and enjoy it.  But then you decide to give it to someone else.  You sign the title over to them.  Now who owns the car?  I bought the car for you.  I wanted you to have it.  But now that you’ve given it to someone else it’s legally their car.  If I was to take it back and once again give it to you, would that be fair?  Would that be just?

That’s the situation God faced after our betrayal.  For the sake of justice a price had to be paid for man’s sin of disobedience.  That price is what God foreshadowed through the sacrifice of a lamb without blemish.  A spotless sacrifice whose blood when applied to the door posts of the Israelite homes caused the angel of death to Passover.

When John the Baptist looked at Jesus and said, “Behold the lamb that takes away the sins of the world” he announced to the world that the final sacrifice had begun.  The old plan for covering sins was passing away and a new plan was beginning.  The writer of the book of Hebrews in the New Testament was speaking to the Jews trying to explain to them how the sacrifice of Jesus did away with their millennia old tradition of animal sacrifices.  This explanation as presented in The Message covers the ground very well:

But when the Messiah arrived, high priest of the superior things of this new covenant, he bypassed the old tent and its trappings in this created world and went straight into heaven’s “tent”—the true Holy Place—once and for all. He also bypassed the sacrifices consisting of goat and calf blood, instead using his own blood as the price to set us free once and for all. If that animal blood and the other rituals of purification were effective in cleaning up certain matters of our religion and behavior, think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out. Through the Spirit, Christ offered himself as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God.

Like a will that takes effect when someone dies, the new covenant was put into action at Jesus’ death. His death marked the transition from the old plan to the new one, canceling the old obligations and accompanying sins, and summoning the heirs to receive the eternal inheritance that was promised them. He brought together God and his people in this new way.

Even the first plan required a death to set it in motion. After Moses had read out all the terms of the plan of the law—God’s “will”—he took the blood of sacrificed animals and, in a solemn ritual, sprinkled the document and the people who were its beneficiaries. And then he attested its validity with the words, “This is the blood of the covenant commanded by God.” He did the same thing with the place of worship and its furniture. Moses said to the people, “This is the blood of the covenant God has established with you.” Practically everything in a will hinges on a death. That’s why blood, the evidence of death, is used so much in our tradition, especially regarding forgiveness of sins.

That accounts for the prominence of blood and death in all these secondary practices that point to the realities of heaven. It also accounts for why, when the real thing takes place, these animal sacrifices aren’t needed anymore, having served their purpose. For Christ didn’t enter the earthly version of the Holy Place; he entered the Place Itself, and offered himself to God as the sacrifice for our sins. He doesn’t do this every year as the high priests did under the old plan with blood that was not their own; if that had been the case, he would have to sacrifice himself repeatedly throughout the course of history. But instead he sacrificed himself once and for all, summing up all the other sacrifices in this sacrifice of himself, the final solution of sin.

Everyone has to die once, then face the consequences. Christ’s death was also a one-time event, but it was a sacrifice that took care of sins forever. And so, when he next appears, the outcome for those eager to greet him is, precisely, salvation.

Because of that sacrifice we can now pick up the keys, the car is ours again.  Jesus paid the price and purchased it back for us.  Paul said it clearly in the New Testament book of Romans, “This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God ‘Jesus is my Master’ embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not ‘doing’ anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: God has set everything right between him and me!’”

The best advice I can give is: devour God’s Word and let it lead you into all truth.  So if anyone ever says to you, “I could never become a Christian because it’s a butcher’s block religion based on a human sacrifice and drenched in blood” you can answer them confidently, “That’s exactly why I had to become a Christian because you see, there’s power in the blood.”

An old song has it nailed:

There is power, power, wonder-working power

In the blood of the Lamb;

There is power, power, wonder-working power

In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Sing it.  Say it.  Believe it.  Live it. And watch that power give you the life God designed for you.

Trump Protestors Professional Patsies March 10, 2017

From the snowflake college students who need a safe space to protect them from anyone who might be cruel enough to disagree with their progressive programming to the America last crowd at the DNC what we are witnessing is an organized effort to over throw the government of the United States one protest, I mean demonstration, I mean riot at a time.

In the New Speak of our Soros-funded Alinsky-trained pink shirted fascists diversity means everyone agrees with them.  Freedom of speech means no one says anything they disagree with.  And the Constitution says whatever they need it to say to do whatever they want.

How Orwellian can you get?

Reality slips down the memory hole and those who railed against Trump for saying he might not accept the results of the election reject the results of the election.

The ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCPBS Cartel pretends that all of this manufactured furry is spontaneous, the eruption of the grass roots.  It is more like the reflection of a Jumbo Tron on AstroTurf.  This isn’t the people speaking truth to power this is the power using people as ventriloquist dummies to mouth slogans.

How many times do we have to listen to the Cartel broadcast their talking points, the same script from all locations only to find that low and behold by the next morning these very talking points are now the personal opinion of the sheeple who make up their mob?  How many of our friends, relatives, and acquaintances profess loyalty to and cast voted for perpetually re-elected demagogues who support everything these people oppose and oppose everything they support? How many must we see to realize the dumbing down and indoctrination of our fellow citizens is working?

The newspaper nightly news late-night comedy show devotees follow their leaders and believe that the resistance to the Trump Presidency is organic.  They even join the flash mobs and carry the mass made signs.  I wonder how many realize that the planners and provocateurs who organize these protests have a training manual for protesting Trump?

Paul Sperry of the New York Post reveals:

Organizing for Action, a group founded by former President Barack Obama and featured prominently on his new post-presidency website, is distributing a training manual to anti-Trump activists that advises them to bully GOP lawmakers into backing off support for repealing ObamaCare, curbing immigration from high-risk Islamic nations and building a border wall.

The tactics promoted in the training manual were used in the highly reported protests at the recent Republican Town Hall Meetings.  Of course it was never mentioned that the Democrats were not holding any town hall meetings so that their followers would be available to harass Republicans.

The article by Sperry continues its revelations:

The manual, published with OFA partner “Indivisible,” advises protesters to go into halls quietly so as not to raise alarms, and “grab seats at the front of the room but do not all sit together.” Rather, spread out in pairs to make it seem like the whole room opposes the Republican host’s positions. “This will help reinforce the impression of broad consensus.” It also urges them to ask “hostile” questions — while keeping “a firm hold on the mic” — and loudly boo the GOP politician if he isn’t “giving you real answers.”

“Express your concern [to the event’s hosts] they are giving a platform to pro-Trump authoritarianism, racism, and corruption,” it says.

The goal is to make Republicans, even from safe districts, second-guess their support for the Trump agenda, and to prime “the ground for the 2018 midterms when Democrats retake power.”

“Even the safest [Republican] will be deeply alarmed by signs of organized opposition,” the document states, “because these actions create the impression that they’re not connected to their district and not listening to their constituents.”

After the event, protesters are advised to feed video footage to local and national media.

“Unfavorable exchanges caught on video can be devastating” for Republican lawmakers, it says, when “shared through social media and picked up by local and national media.” After protesters gave MSNBC, CNN and the networks footage of their dust-up with Chaffetz, for example, the outlets ran them continuously, forcing Chaffetz to issue statements defending himself.

The manual also advises protesters to flood “Trump-friendly” lawmakers’ Hill offices with angry phone calls and emails demanding the resignation of top White House adviser Steve Bannon.

A script advises callers to complain: “I’m honestly scared that a known racist and anti-Semite will be working just feet from the Oval Office … It is everyone’s business if a man who promoted white supremacy is serving as an adviser to the president.”

Does any of this sound familiar?  Isn’t this exactly what happened?  The whole thing was choreographed and executed just as written in the training manual.  Then it was reported as if it was spontaneous when any reporter who was even pretending to do his job could have discovered with one click of a mouse this was a put up job.

And the beat goes on:

OFA, which is run by ex-Obama officials and staffers, plans to stage 400 rallies across 42 states this year to attack Trump and Republicans over ObamaCare’s repeal.  OFA boasts more than 250 offices nationwide and more than 32,000 organizers, with another 25,000 actively under training. Since November, it’s beefed up staff and fundraising, though as a “social welfare” nonprofit, it does not have to reveal its donors.

These aren’t typical Black Lives Matter or Occupy Wall Street marchers, but rather professionally trained organizers who go through a six-week training program similar to the training — steeped in Alinsky agitation tactics — Obama received in Chicago when he was a community organizer.

Chicago socialist Saul Alinsky, known by the left as “the father of community organizing,” taught radicals to “rub raw the sores of discontent” and create the conditions for a “revolution.” He dedicated his book, “Rules for Radicals,” to “Lucifer.” Michelle Obama quoted from the book when she helped launch OFA in 2013.

Obama appears to be behind the anti-Trump protests. He praised recent demonstrations against Trump’s travel ban. And last year, after Trump’s upset victory, he personally rallied OFA troops to “protect” his legacy in a conference call. “Now is the time for some organizing,” he said. “So don’t mope” over the election results.

He promised OFA activists he would soon join them in the fray.

“Understand that I’m going to be constrained in what I do with all of you until I am again a private citizen, but that’s not so far off,” he said. “You’re going to see me early next year, and we’re going to be in a position where we can start cooking up all kinds of great stuff.”

Added the ex-president: “I promise you that next year Michelle and I are going to be right there with you, and the clouds are going to start parting, and we’re going to be busy. I’ve got all kinds of thoughts and ideas about it, but this isn’t the best time to share them.  Point is, I’m still fired up and ready to go, and I hope that all of you are, as well.”

The New York Post among other news organizations is doing the leg work.  The information is readily available for anyone who is interested.  These poor dupes who are out there screaming and marching have been pre-programmed by years of government education and decades of televised propaganda.  They honestly believe whatever the Cartel says is their personal opinion.  They aren’t evil they are merely following and supporting evil.  Lenin called them useful idiots.  That seems a bit harsh so maybe we could give them the benefit of the doubt and just call them professional patsies?

Give Them an Inch October 11, 2013

Let’s see the government had three years and the entire resources of the federal government and they can’t build a website that works.  Now we have a website that won’t let you leave, is open to hackers, presents people with insurance they can’t afford and we are going to fine, excuse me, tax anyone without insurance who doesn’t use it.  These people are making the DMV look efficient.

Many of their own supporters and allies tried to warn them the website was not ready.  The administration which estimated the cost spent to be 93 million for development of the website and ended up paying $634,320,919, which is more than it cost to develop Facebook, Twitter, or Linkedin, released it knowing it wasn’t ready.  Those who have ventured to apply or to investigate report that on average 1 in 10 are able to navigate through the maze to the find the cheese of higher rates.

Maybe that’s because a website tasked with servicing millions was designed to accommodate 50,000?  Maybe it’s because it appears as if no one bothered to test it before launch?  Maybe it’s because instead of using the most up-to-date technology and the latest computer code the government bought some extremely high priced outdated, costly and buggy technology?

Or perhaps it all merely proves the truth of what Ronald Reagan told us many years ago, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

The Democrats and their media allies tell us daily that Obamacare is the law of the land and we have no choice but to fund it, obey it, and carry it on our backs till the end of time.  They say that Congress passed it, the president signed it, the last election ratified it, the Supreme Court upheld it, and that is that.

Congress did pass it without one Republican vote.  This is the first and only entitlement that was passed without even a fig leaf of bipartisan support.

Of course the president signed this Holy Grail the Progressives have been seeking for more than a century, because they know that taking control of the healthcare system, 1/6 of the economy, and taking control of everyone’s health will give them easy access to total control.  Or as Lenin said, “Socialized Medicine is the Keystone to the Arch of the Socialist State.”

The last election did return President Obama to the White House for a second term; however, it also returned a Republican majority to the House of Representatives.  The Constitution designed the House as the branch of government closest to the people, and this House is listening to the people.

And yes, the Supreme Court did uphold it.  How?  By calling what the Congress that passed the bill adamantly said was not a tax is a tax.  This was an example of philosophical gymnastics that found the argument originally used to pass the bill unconstitutional but found the law constitutional as long as it is what they told us it wasn’t.

All of which brings us to the question, “How can Obamacare be settled law when the president can change it anytime in any way he wants?”  There was no provision in the law as passed for all the waivers and exceptions our imperial president makes with the wave of his pen.  If it is settled law, how and why can the president change it without Congressional approval?

Is it now illegal or immoral to work to change “settled” law?  Does this mean that it is wrong for people who believe abortion is murder to work to change the law.  Oh wait a moment the law still says abortion is murder it is only a Supreme Court ruling that holds the laws of the states in check.  Does this mean it is now wrong to protest the never ending wars that are impoverishing our nation without contributing to our security?

The First Amendment to the Constitution guarantees the right of the people to peaceably assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.  Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution says, “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives.”  The vote to withhold funding for an unpopular law is not only proper and not only voicing the will of the people, but it is also constitutional.

How can it be constitutional for a president to change a law whenever he wants to do so?  Should we just add this to the list of unconstitutional acts the present administration has perpetrated since gaining power?  How long can a nation stand idly by while a rogue administration grabs power and control?  How long will a timid and overawed opposition refrain from raising the cry, “Impeachment!” when faced with the illegal actions of a naked Progressive coup?

Just because something is legal does not mean it is right.  Hitler gained power legally.  He assumed totalitarian power legally.  He built concentration camps legally.  He waged war and killed millions legally.  So did Stalin. Just because something is legal does not mean it is right.  How long America?  How long?  Have we been giving these Progressive camels inches for so long we don’t even notice they have already taken the whole mile?
