We Need Education Not Indoctrination March 20, 2018

After more than twenty years as a Pastor/House Painter I returned to school in my forties to become a History professor.  I saw that the lack of a historical perspective was an important part of the foundation of a dumbed down herd of sheeple being systematically programmed by the Progressive Educational Complex.

Watching my son go through public school and being involved in community liaison committees I saw that education in America was no longer attempting to teach people how to think they were instead teaching people what to think.  I was determined to try my best to stand against the wave.   A decade of full time school and work later and I was teaching college.

I was privileged to help build a dual enrollment program that allowed high school students earn college and high school credit from the same class.  The last year I was involved in this program over ninety students graduated with their AA and the High School Diploma at the same time.  I appreciated the opportunity to help these young people get a leg up on their educational careers.

During this experience I was tasked with observing the work of various high school teachers involved in the program.  I found many doing more indoctrination than education.  Here was a typical assignment in a political science class: Watch Michael Moore’s documentary “Fahrenheit 11/9” and then write an essay about how many lies President Bush told the American people to trick them into going to war.

I told the teacher that no matter what we think about the War in Iraq her assignment was not objective in any way and was designed to influence the performance and views of the students.

When I finally had the opportunity to administer a Political Science Department at a major university I told the professors that our goal should be for students to ask us after the class was concluded, “Are you a conservative or a liberal?”  We should be that even handed.  We should strive to guide our students into critical thinking not herd them into any prescribed ideology.

After more than twenty years as an educator and administrator I see that so many of our teachers come out of progressive schools spouting progressive dogma and blinded by their world view to the validity of any other way of thinking that they are molding future generations into clones of those who molded them.

People with conservative views often wonder how their own children turn into Obama zombies blindly saluting the flag of Planned Parenthood and worshiping at Al Gore’s altar of global warming while mouthing every PC platitude ever invented by the ACLU.  It shouldn’t be surprising when this happens.  We are being taxed to pay people to compress young skulls full of mush into mind numbed robots ready to march to the polls and vote for Nancy Pelosi or someone just like her.

It is time to put a stop to this.

And a state delegate from Virginia has a great idea on how to do this.  Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates Dave LaRock explains that his resolution asks the Board of Education to come up with a code of ethics for teachers in grades K-12.  Like the federal Hatch Act, LaRock’s resolution inspired by conservative pundit David Horowitz would prevent individuals from using their position to promote their political views or support a specific candidate.

This seems like commonsense education control to me.

Contact your local state Representative or Senator and ask them to sponsor a similar bill in your state.  Let’s see if we can wrest control of education out of the hands of the progressive operatives who have captured it.  It took the progressives more than 100 years to subvert the Republic it may take us just as long to bring it back.
